Photos
It is so hard to put into words the experiences we have on a Nuestros Niños Service Trip. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so we have attempted to tell a story in the photos that we take. Even still, it is something else to experience it yourself! Want more information? Contact Angela.
Our hope is that the photos also help bring Guatemala “alive” to others. There are some that remain in the forefront of our memories, others that remind us of the daily life in Guatemala, and some that just make us smile. At times, you can use your camera to “break the ice” with the people you meet. Children absolutely love to see their picture in the viewfinder & often you will see their “real” smile light up their face upon seeing a picture of themselves. Other times, when going into a family’s home, you can see if the older children or mothers would like to take a picture. The sound of laughter and the sight of smiles are universal – the women find it is fun to try something new and to immediately see the result – and a “barrier” is broken…
We hope you enjoy looking through some of the photos and hearing about our work and life in Guatemala.
We will continue to add pictures from upcoming trips on the additional pages.
